What Is SmithFyx, and Why I Created It
If you’ve ever stared at a leaning curtain rod, a crooked cabinet handle, or a mystery light switch that does nothing — and thought, “I wish I had someone I could just call to handle this,” you're my kind of people.
I’m Mika, the founder of SmithFyx — a home services company built around a simple idea: women and families deserve a handy service that feels safe, competent, and actually helpful. No condescension. No half-done jobs. No waiting around all day for someone who shows up late and makes you feel like you're in the way.
So… what exactly is SmithFyx?
It’s a woman-led handy and home support service in San Antonio. We help with everything from hanging curtains and organizing closets to showing up when the Wi-Fi guy is coming and you don’t want to be alone.
We don’t just fix stuff — we support people. We fill the weird, frustrating gap between "DIY" and "I guess I’ll just live with it." We also specialize in showing up on time, not judging your clutter, and making your home feel more like yours again.
Why I started it
Honestly? I was tired of seeing women get overlooked in this space.
I know what it’s like to need help and not feel comfortable asking for it — or worse, to ask and not feel safe. SmithFyx was born from that need. I wanted to create something practical, trustworthy, and supportive — something built with care, not just tools.
And also? I genuinely like this kind of work. Fixing crooked shelves. Unpacking boxes. Helping women feel good in their space again. That’s what fills my cup.
Who it's for
If you're:
A woman who lives alone and wants backup when someone’s working in your home
A military family trying to get settled after a PCS move
Someone whose home feels overwhelming and just needs a little boost…
Then yeah — SmithFyx was built for you.
Thanks for being here.
