Why We Exist

SmithFyx was inspired by real people with real needs. Founder Mika Smith created the service after hearing from women who didn’t always feel comfortable being alone during in-home service visits, and from friends forced to use up valuable PTO or rearrange their lives just to wait on long, uncertain service windows.

We realized that too many people — especially women, elders, and busy professionals — were juggling the stress of home maintenance without trusted, flexible support. Whether it was wanting another set of eyes during a repair, or just wishing someone could help them feel more in control of their home, the gap was clear.

So we filled it.

SmithFyx was created to provide reliable, respectful, and presence-based home services rooted in trust, communication, and care. We’re not replacing traditional contractors — we’re enhancing the experience of living in and loving your home.
