What is SmithFyx?
SmithFyx is a woman-led home services business based in San Antonio, TX. We provide respectful, skilled help with minor home repairs, installations, organizing, project oversight, move-in support, and presence-based services for busy or solo homeowners — with a focus on safety, professionalism, and care.
Do you offer plumbing, electrical or hvac work?
No. We do not offer services that require a licensed contractor, such as electrical wiring, plumbing, or structural repairs. However, we can prep for or follow up after a licensed pro has been to your home.

What areas do you serve?
We currently serve San Antonio, TX, with a focus on North, Northeast, Northwest, and Downtown neighborhoods.
How do I book a service?
You can book online directly through our website. Payment is due at the time of booking. For services over $200, a 50% deposit is required. Your deposit will go toward your service balance, which will be ran through our payment service at the end of our visit.
How do I prepare for my appointment?
After booking, you’ll receive a checklist to help you prepare. Please clear the work area and have pets secured. For some installs, you'll need to supply the item (e.g., towel bars, shelves). If you need help selecting materials, we can consult.
What is your pricing?
Each service is priced based on complexity, time, and required tools. You can view our pricing on the booking and appointment pages on our website. Some services can only be priced after consultative estimate.
Is this a cleaning or home health service?
No. SmithFyx is not a cleaning or maid service. SmithFyx is also not a home health or medical provider. We provide professional repair, setup, organization, and project support services. If you are needing those services, you’ll need to search within your community for those services, as we are not aligned with any companies providing those services.
What is “Presence-Based Support”?
Presence-based support means we show up for you when you can’t — or don’t want to. From waiting on a contractor to helping someone feel safe while work is being done, we’re your extra pair of hands (and eyes) at home.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation & Rescheduling Policy
We require 24-hour notice for all cancellations or rescheduling.
No-shows or late cancellations by either the client or scheduled service provider will result in forfeiture of your deposit. No exceptions.
Each client is allowed one free reschedule.
Any additional rescheduling will require a new deposit, which does not go toward the cost of the service.
If SmithFyx needs to reschedule, you will receive 10% of your deposit refunded as a courtesy.
Reasons SmithFyx May Cancel or Reschedule (Before or During a Visit):
SmithFyx reserves the right to cancel or pause service before or during an appointment under the following conditions:
The work area is unsafe, obstructed, or inaccessible
Inappropriate conduct, harassment, or unsafe environment
Unsecured pets that pose a safety or distraction risk
The scope of work exceeds the booked service or involves non-covered tasks (e.g., electrical, plumbing, or structural work)
Inclement weather (e.g., lightning, flooding, extreme temperatures) that may create unsafe conditions
Severe traffic disruptions or road closures outside of our control
The client is not present (when required for entry or instruction) and no access has been arranged
Utilities and bathroom facilities are not in working order - unless that is the reason for our visit
Do you work weekends or after hours?
Yes, we offer Saturday appointments at a premium rate. We also offer hours appointments from 5PM-8PM at a premium rate.
